Heavy-duty suspension
Heavy-duty shock absorbers and springs, a reinforced chassis and frame with additional body mounts for more driving stability, and reinforced front and rear axles.

Nissan Patrol Peacekeeper
The armored off-road vehicle for crisis areas, built by TRASCO in Bremen, Germany: assault rifle protection VR7 (formerly B6), heavy-duty suspension and brakes, used by the UN and other organizations in crisis areas all over the world.
Assault rifle protection VR7 (formerly B6) · STANAG 4569, Level 1 · More than 200 units since 2002
Protection concept
An armoring cage including A, B and C pillars with overlaps is integrated into the passenger cell. Laminated safety glass produced by European glass manufacturers forms the transparent armor.
The battery is armored, the fuel tank is self-sealing, and an underbody protection protects against two DM51 hand grenades. Reinforced heavy-duty hinges on all doors are mounted directly on the armoring cage, with an additional door adjustment integrated in door and frame.

Certification
The armoring uses ballistic materials tested and certified according to VPAM-PM 2007 by government-approved German VPAM test laboratories. The protection level VR7 (formerly B6) meets STANAG 4569, Level 1: assault rifle ammunition such as 7.62×51 mm and 5.56×45 mm.
In 2000, the armored Nissan Patrol Peacekeeper (Y61) was certified as a complete vehicle by the official German proof house Beschussamt Mellrichstadt: VR6 according to BRV 1999, including hand grenade protection (certificate no. 00M299E01d).
The vehicle concept was tested by the German federal test center WTD 41. The complete threat table below documents every weapon, caliber and test condition.
Ballistic protection
The armoring is tested against defined threat levels. The exact weapons, calibers and test parameters are listed below.

TRASCO Engineering
Full armoring adds considerable weight to an off-road vehicle. TRASCO re-engineers suspension, chassis, wheels and brakes of the Patrol, so the Peacekeeper keeps its stability and braking performance on- and off-road.
Heavy-duty shock absorbers and springs, a reinforced chassis and frame with additional body mounts for more driving stability, and reinforced front and rear axles.
Special tires with an increased load index of 120 (1,400 kg) and on- and off-road performance, on rims with a proven load capacity of up to 1,400 kg. The integrated run-flat system allows emergency driving for up to 15 km at 50 km/h.
Specially manufactured heavy-duty discs, calipers and pads keep the braking performance and reduce fading despite the increased weight. The brake system is tested according to European Directive 70/320/EEC.
Reinforced heavy-duty hinges are mounted directly on the armoring cage, with an additional door adjustment integrated in door and frame.
Since 2002
Since 2002, TRASCO has built more than 200 armored Nissan Patrol Peacekeepers. They are used by the UN and other organizations in crisis areas all over the world.
