This year – at the world’s largest automotive show IAA 2017 in Frankfurt/Germany - TRASCO is presenting for the very first time its exclusive B4 A-KIP® armouring concept in Hall 5, booth B30 showing off that there is no need to choose between safety and environmental friendliness. Clients can have it both. One of the shown armoured vehicles is based on the BMW 740Le xDrive iPerformance Hybrid Limousine, while the second one is armoured on the basis of the new BMW 540i xDrive Limousine.

In view of the current security threats within supposedly safe regions such as Europe, the call for an appropriate protection in vehicles is rapidly increasing. Having realized this, TRASCO decided to address this issue by developing a cost-effective lightweight protection concept. The TRASCO B4 A-KIP® concept (Anti-Kidnapping) is a lightweight protection concept specially adapted to current threats such as street crime and violent protests. It is designed to protect the vehicle occupants with (using only) certified ballistic materials (such as ballistic glass, ballistic steel combined with composite materials) while at the same time keeping all advantages and comfort of the original vehicle.

Nowadays low CO2 emissions of vehicles even of armoured vehicles are becoming increasingly important. While at the same time the need for protection and safety increases. Trasco is proud to present for the first time worldwide its answer - solving both needs at the same time - the first armoured Hybrid limousine with an combined electro and petrol engine based on the BMW 740Le xDrive with B4 A-KIP armouring.

We look forward to meet you at the IAA Motor Show 2017, Hall 5, booth B30.
